Our Grant Opportunities

The Junior Welfare League Grant Program exists to support local nonprofit organizations that align with our mission of serving women, children, and families in York County. Each year, we distribute funds raised through our service and fundraising efforts to deserving groups making a meaningful impact in our community. Grants are awarded to support a wide range of needs—from educational programs and health initiatives to basic supplies and outreach efforts. We are proud to partner with organizations that share our commitment to creating a stronger, healthier, and more equitable York County.

2025-2026

Grant Recipient

We are proud to announce Better Bound Bookstore as this year’s grant recipient. Better Bound is a nonprofit youth bookstore and literary space that empowers young readers by providing access to diverse, inclusive, and inspiring books. Their mission is to foster a love of reading, amplify underrepresented voices, and create a welcoming space where children and teens can explore stories that reflect their own experiences and broaden their worldview. Through this partnership, the Junior Welfare League is excited to support Better Bound’s efforts to cultivate literacy, confidence, and community among York County’s youth.
