With Service Hours

Every league year, our members provide over 300 collective hours of service to well deserving non-profit 501(c)(3) agencies all throughout York County for various events and activities. Service to the community is a requirement of membership with the Junior Welfare League of York County.

If you are interested in requesting volunteers for your agency or event, please use the form below to submit your request.

With Collections

At every general membership meeting during our league year, we take up a collection for a designated nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency within our community. This could be in the form of goods or monetary donations. Agencies are selected as part of the annual grant submission process and are chosen based on need and past awards. Once an agency has been selected, they will be notified and invited to come speak for 10-15 minutes at the beginning of our membership meeting to inform and educate our members on their particular needs as well as on what their agency does. We have provided thousands of dollars in goods and monetary donations to our community through service collections over the years.

Please see our grant application listed below for more information on how to request service collections. In addition, if your agency has an immediate emergency need, please email jwlyc.service@gmail.com and we can send a notification out to our members and sustainers to see if they can support!

You can still review last year’s application to get a sense of what will be expected.
