Twice is Nice
The Junior Welfare League (JWL) of Rock Hill was established in 1938. From this early commitment and dedication, a tradition of caring and sharing was established. Over six decades later, the League continues to contribute to the welfare of the greater Rock Hill community. We are extremely proud that just over the past decade alone, over $1,100,000 has been raised through our fundraising traditions. In addition to supporting the community by raising needed funds, members actively serve placement hours at various agencies or boards.
The Junior Welfare League`s major traditions and fundraisers are our Twice is Nice Thrift Shop; The JeWeL Celebration, our annual spring fundraiser; and the Gobble Wobble 8K. Visit the Jewel Box Blog page for up to date information about other fundraisers and events such as the annual Done in a Day project organized by our provisional members. If you are an organization interested in learning about funding opportunities, visit the “Whom We Serve” page to find out more about the application process.
